. . . we said our goodbyes to Yosemite. On the adventure we all came up with one tremendous conclusion: After taking photos of the beautiful sights and noticing how it did not quite capture the beauty our eyes were beholding, we decided that in places like Yosemite, there is just way too much beauty. The beauty is so tremendous that cameras cannot even capture 1/1,000,000th of the beauty this fine creation holds.

I feel as if God has created sights like Yosemite with the intentions for the beauty to only be seen truly in all its glory with human eyes. It is a gift from God because it just reminds us that we can only experience beauty like Yosemite when we are personally there taking it all in and allowing it to move us emotionally. The lack of capturing the full beauty of Yosemite keeps us going back time and time again partly because theres something photos cannot capture - an experience that you can experience. Being in Yosemite is an experience. You truly experience the beauty and glory. The feeling of being so small in a place so ginormous is something you can only feel and know when you experience standing in the shadows of Half Dome or hiking upon it's granite face. You cannot experience that in a picture. The exhilarating feeling you get when your eyes glide over the raw and real detail on the towering rocks and the trees below. The way your mind registers it and almost says to itself, "This cannot be real. This is incredible." You cannot truly feel or experience any of this without truly being there. So, if you are looking at these photos and you are emotionally moved, imagine how much more you will be moved when you come see Yosemite in person with your own eyes - no lens, no camera - just you and your raw sight. I really encourage everyone around the world to come visit Yosemite because the experience is unexplainable, inspiring, and phenomenal. With that being said, Yosemite. . .
